Boubacar Sidi Diallo has a PhD (Law) and M.D. (Law) from the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan-Poland. His areas of research include most major subjects of public international law, in particular: statehood, law of treaties, human rights protection, international humanitarian law, law of migration, law of sea, collective security and law of international organization. Member of International Law Association (ILA), the association of Friends of Science in Poznań (PTPN), and African Security Sector Network. Associate Professor at the Department of International Law and International Organization, Faculty of Law and Administration, Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznan, Poland. Boubacar Sidi Diallo joined the Adam Mickiewicz University in 2010, having previously held full-time appointments at the School of Management and Banking in Poznan, Poland. As senior lecturer, he served also as a Dean of the Faculty of Administration of the School of Management and Banking in Poznan - responsible of the department of administrative science, political science, and home land security. Working languages: French (native), Polish (fluent), English (good). Boubacar’s current interest in collective security is strictly connected to the wider spectrum of his academic interests. last decade, critical approaches have substantially reshaped the theoretical landscape of security studies in the world. Yet, despite an impressive body of literature, there remains fundamental disagreement as to what counts as critical in this context. Contemporary conflicts in Africa have changed. They are cross-border and nomads. The novelty of these crises calls a regional response and leads the affected countries to undertake reforms of the defense in the context of strengthened international cooperation and an efficient cooperative security. It is therefore, crucial to think about the reforms of the security sector in a global framework for a collective response to major regional or worldwide security issues.
